Baby photography: getting started
TIME IT RIGHT Wait for when your baby is calm, perhaps after a feed or during a nap.
MAKE EYE CONTACT Shoot down low at their eye level to create a sense of intimacy.
NATURAL LIGHT Use a reflector to make the most of window light – try a large piece of white paper for this.
SHH! SHOOT SILENTLY Avoid distracting the baby with loud sounds.
EXPERIMENT WITH FOCAL POINTS Normally you’d focus on the eyes for portraits, but small hands and feet can be interesting focal points too.
