| | | | Dear Loser, Aspiring Loser or General Hanger-On: Four weeks ago, we asked the Greater Loser Community to write captions for one or more of these typically bizarro Bob Staake cartoons. One honorable mention for the clown cartoon: "“Mama always said that if I didn’t quit playing with it, it was gonna fall off.” There are lots of good ones, but the winner of the whole contest, for Cartoon 4, is my favorite Staake caption in years. And of course there's a new contest: It's our annual Tour de Fours neologism contest. This year all the terms have to include the letter block N-O-V-E -- in any order, but with no other letters between them. In my online column, The Style Conversational, I share some post-election tweets and other humor I came across that finally got me to crack a smile yesterday.
