FORECAST IN DETAIL Let’s be thankful for some pretty nice travel weather today, not just here in the D.C. area, but up and down the East Coast. Thanksgiving Day trends a touch warmer, but also with the chance of a few light showers. The best part of the forecast over the next few days is the lack of wind, although breezes do pick up a bit this weekend. Today (Wednesday): After a chilly early-morning start in the upper 20s to low 30s, we’ll see mostly sunny morning skies give way to increasing afternoon clouds, with a slight chance of a late-afternoon shower. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s to low 50s aren’t exactly warm, but with light and variable winds, we don’t have to deal with much of a wind-chill factor. Confidence: High Tonight: After a slight chance of an evening shower, we could see a few light showers after midnight as a cold front gets closer from the west. Mostly cloudy skies help keep us a bit warmer than last night, with lows mainly in the upper 30s to low 40s.
