(Erinn Shirley via Flickr) TODAY’S DAILY DIGIT A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10. 8/10: It’s not the 70-degree weather we had over the weekend, but 60-plus in February is still stellar. EXPRESS FORECAST Today: Partly sunny. Highs: 58-66. Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows: 36-42 Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy. Highs: 54-60. View the current weather conditions at The Washington Post headquarters. FORECAST IN DETAIL If you’re confused by this weather, you’re not alone. It’s felt more like May than February — and more May-like days are in the pipeline. Temperatures do take a small step back today and tomorrow following the amazing weekend but are still well above normal. Then, incredibly, they jump back up Wednesday through Friday — possibly even higher than before and some records may fall. A weak cold front coming through the region Saturday means we cool down slightly by Sunday. Today (Monday): A backdoor cold front oozes southward through the region. This switches our wind direction to out of the north (at around 10 mph), drawing in somewhat cooler temperatures. Under a mix of clouds and sun, most locations from the District south should reach 60 to 65, while locations north of the District may get held up in the upper 50s to low 60s. Confidence: Medium-High Tonight: Partly cloudy and you’ll notice a slight chill in the air, but nothing extreme. Lows range from the mid-to-upper 30s in our cooler suburbs to the low 40s downtown.
