Still, after a fine day today, the hurricane manages to feed enough moisture our way to interact with a weak cold front and set off some showers late tomorrow into Saturday. This could cause some disruptions for the Nationals playoff games Friday/Saturday but a washout is very unlikely. Columbus Day is another winner for those lucky enough to have the day off. Today (Thursday): Patchy fog is a possibility in the early morning in some areas as winds are nearly calm. Sunshine should quickly burn the fog away and by afternoon skies are partly to mostly sunny. Highs reach the low-to-mid 70s. Confidence: High Tonight: A cloudless evening affords a fine view of the crescent moon and Saturn paired up on the southwest horizon. Breezes remain minimal and clouds come sneaking back in late. Lows range through the 50s. Confidence: High Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest updates. Highs still manage to reach the upper 60s to lower 70s. There is only a very slight chance for showers late in the day. Breezes are minimal. Confidence: Medium-High |
