Gun rights proponents packed the meeting room as a House committee debated nine gun-related bills. Still Masked: If you plan on flying anywhere soon, better bring the mask. The Associated Press reports today that the CDC will extend the mask mandate on public transportation – planes, trains and buses – for another two weeks. That includes the novelist’s diaries, manuscripts – even fan mail. Take a Dip: Just in time for the Easter weekend, Grand Isle has reopened its beaches. The island at the southern tip of Jefferson Parish was battered by Hurricane Ida last year and recovery has been slow.
