Hi John!

Lisa and I were able to get away for a couple of days to one of our favorite places, the Fundy National Park in New Brunswick… about an hour from where we live.

It’s an incredible park that lines the coast of New Brunswick on the Atlantic Ocean’s Fundy Basin.

People laugh that I, the nakedpastor, would enjoy anything Fundy. But it seriously is the name of the place.

We had a couple good sleeps, good food, and some excellent hikes.

I loved drawing this cartoon and posting it.

The response was mostly warm.

Yes, there were some homophobic comments, but I took care of those.

My space, my rules. No hate allowed.

Post Of The Week

So many people resonated with this post, “What Do You Want?”

I wasn’t allowed to want anything because it was selfish. The only question was, “What does God want?” “What do I want?” was not just greedy and worldly but disobedient and hurtful to the Lord.

I had to learn to figure out what I wanted. It was hard work, but I finally did it and am happier than ever.

PAINTING OF THE WEEK!

"Can We Please Share the Same Shore?"

When I finished this watercolor, I had a deep sense of missing my loved ones... family and friends that I haven't been able to see for over a year now because of COVID. You know what I'm talking about. It's not just the physical distance you are experiencing. There's also been some distancing going on ideologically. Right? Some say things will never go back to the way they were. But it's still okay to hope for restoration of relationships. Isn't it?

When Lisa and I were in the national park we went looking for moose.

We found one.

I want to express my gratitude for you all. Once in a while you will send me a random note of encouragement. You probably have no idea that it’s usually something I need at that time. And they always hit home. So… thank you!
