SA Gives Appeal - help end hunger this holiday season
135,000 South Australians are going hungry right now and a third of them are children. ABC Radio supporting Foodbank SA has launched South Australia Gives to help put food on the table of those in need in our community.

On Friday 3 December, we’re asking you to share what you CAN and donate a CAN of food at one of our collection points across Adelaide. And while you're there, say hello to your favourite ABC presenters too!

Read more about Foodbank and why they need our support here.

Together, we can help end hunger this holiday season.

A great construction of cans
To celebrate the launch of SA Gives, ABC Radio and Foodbank SA constructed an art installation of thousands of cans under the iconic Adelaide Oval scoreboard.

ABC Adelaide's Ali Clarke and Jules Schiller, along with Foodbank's Ambassadors from the Port Adelaide Football Club, Masterchef’s Mandy Hall and Olympic Cyclist Alex Porter pitched in to give us a hand to help end hunger this holiday season.

Today was the launch of the ABC Band getting back together to perform We are family by Sister Sledge.

The popular band expanded this year and included Deb Tribe on lead vocals, backed up by your favourite ABC Radio presenters, some great talent from Behind the News and even a rap from Rulla Kelly-Mansell.
A huge shout out to everyone involved.
