The saga ends: Leaning Tower of Dallas falls There was great sadness in Dallas the night of March 2, the same day the infamous Leaning Tower of Dallas finally buckled over and collapsed. After two weeks of standing defiantly in the face of demolition, a wrecking ball delivered the killing blow and brought the tower to its foundation. Locals previously took pride in the unusual landmark, which attracted numerous photographers and influencers before it finally crumbled. All this viral attention came about thanks to an extremely solid elevator shaft that failed to implode when explosives were detonated. Now, all that remains is dust, which will be cleared away in favor of a boring, soulless mixed-use development. But the Leaning Tower of Dallas will live on in our hearts forever. All this hubbub over a failed demolition. Usually, the process goes a lot smoother. Tap or click here to see what a demolition is supposed to look like. â |
