Unconditionally Free
"Only when the mind is really free can you discern and find out what the hindrances are that impede freedom. And, to discover your hindrances, you must become aware. You must become fully conscious of all your words, your actions, your thoughts and feelingsâeverything. In that awareness, in that flame, cause, action, and effect are known instantaneously. Therefore, there is an immediate adjustment without struggle. I am not giving you a panacea. You experiment with it, and you will see it for yourself, instead of going to an opposite. That is, when you are afraid, you search out courage. Thereby your courage becomes an escape from fear and, therefore, it is no longer courage; it is the covering up of fear which we call courage, and hence, the conflict of opposites continually exists. Whereas, if you become aware of the cause of fear, in that flame the cause is rooted out. That is, to become aware you must think completely, wholly. Whatever thoughts arise in your mind, think through and you will see what the hindrances are in your thinking through public opinion, past authorities, and so on. And, in facing those limitations you are free of those limitations." J. Krishnamurti Excerpt from Unconditionally Free
New Book Release
Unconditionally Freeis an outstanding and comprehensive overview of the life and insights of J. Krishnamurti. A unique format follows a timeline from 1850 to the speakerâs death in 1986: through his early life and training, his growing rebelliousness, a mysterious âprocessâ and its awakening of an intense, yet silent, state of body and mind, and with thatâan awakening of a radically different way of living. Highlights of J. Krishnamurtiâs talks and dialogues, decade after decade, are followed by rare descriptions and explorations by Krishnamurti of what this âotherâ way of living feels like, as a direct experience. This new book distills 250,000 pages of Kâs insights and themes throughout his life against a backdrop of global events, serving as a compass or guide to help the reader appreciate how theyâthe observerâimpact what is being observed. It involves understanding a few critical concepts, similar to the key or legend on a map, that define and provide a reference, scale or context, for the journey Krishnamurtiâs insights invite. This view is functional rather than conceptual. Conceptually one can review, analyze, agree or disagree with each sentence on each of the estimated 250,000 pages that make up his teachings. The global approach we offer is holographic; one sees the whole in all of its parts rather than attempting to come to wholeness through the parts. It becomes clear turning the pages: to change the world, before it is too late, each of us must bring about our own inner-revolution. This total transformation is not the product of thought, time, or methods. It is a change in the very root of human consciousness, in the state of the mind and heart, and from that, its content. Unconditionally Free brings this possibility closer, clearer, and more urgent than it has ever been.
