Good afternoon,

PNE head to Middlesbrough tonight with Frankie McAvoy knowing he needs a result.

After Saturday’s defeat to Cardiff, Chris Wilder’s men pose the next test on Teesside and to go into the weekend’s visit of Fulham to Deepdale on the back of three defeats would be worrying.

The Bluebirds reverse left many pointing the finger at the head coach and questioning his future, and the Scot knows that comes with the territory.

Said McAvoy: “When we lose games I deserve a bit of flak, that’s what happens.

“Against Cardiff we did well in the first half but didn’t do well in the second. I know we have to be better.”

Now let’s take a look at all the build-up and the rest of the day’s headlines...

Thanks for reading,

Adam
