| | Dear reader,
Modern life is so demanding; it’s no wonder many of us feel drained. Even now, you might be reading this while doing one or more other thing – perhaps switching between work emails and social media, or putting off today’s gargantuan to-do list.
We are living through an era in which there are so many demands on us, from the trivial – endless WhatsApp notifications or the pressure to keep up appearances – to the more serious, such as caring responsibilities or financial or work stresses. If you are feeling overwhelmed, you are not the only one.
To that end, we are launching a new, limited-series newsletter exploring why we often feel overwhelmed – and offering tips on how to address this. We’ll be sharing stories from writers and readers who have experienced overwhelm – whether it’s feeling burnt out by social commitments, struggling to stay fit or stressed by life online – as well as tips for how to avoid it.
Once you sign up, the Overwhelm newsletter will hit your inbox every Monday for the next 11 weeks - click here to subscribe.
We really hope you find it useful.
