After a Minneapolis cop shot and killed a man inside a downtown apartment, Mayor Jacob Frey is facing mounting pressure from local politicians and advocates to see the footage.
| Feb. 3, 2022 Charges are expected by midday Friday against the suspects in a fatal shooting Tuesday afternoon outside a Richfield school. Minnesota law generally requires that defendants be charged within 36 hours of their arrest. The Hennepin County Attorney's Office says a judge granted prosecutors an extension to file the criminal complaints. Two Minneapolis men — ages 18 and 19 — are jailed awaiting charges. Fifteen-year-old Jahmari Rice was killed, and a 17-year-old suffered critical injuries in the shooting at the South Education Center. A 19-year-old suffered minor injuries. Richfield police say the five teens knew each other, and the shooting appears to have stemmed from an earlier dispute.
