California Fires Threaten Endangered Joshua Trees
I thought I would start my commentary by saying that the real threats to the Joshua tree were humans, especially architects who design such ridiculous houses such as this shipping container fantasy proposed for the area.
 
But then I realized that the California fires are probably happening because anthroprogenic climate change, or maybe poorly maintained electric wires, or cigarette butts out the car window, not to mention the encroachment of people and their silly houses into the wilderness. Even if started through natural causes like lightning, we are still making it worse. It's not just the architects, it's all of us, everywhere.
