MEDIA WINNER: Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino Fox News’s 9 to 11 a.m. morning news show, America’s Newsroom, crushed its CNN and MSNBC competition on Friday. Anchors Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino brought in over 2.2 million total viewers during both hours of their show, beating every show on CNN and MSNBC and all but four other hours on cable news Friday. This wouldn’t be the first time. America’s Newsroom almost always bests the competition — by a lot. On Thursday, the show more than tripled CNN Newsroom's total viewers during the 9 a.m. hour. And during the 10 a.m. hour, America's Newsroom still earned more than double CNN's total viewers. In both January and February, the show landed as the eighth-most-watched show on cable news, only falling behind Fox News' The Five, Tucker Carlson Tonight, Jesse Watters Primetime, Hannity, Special Report with Bret Baier, The Ingraham Angle, Gutfeld!, and Outnumbered. While CNN and MSNBC also saw a boost during Friday's mid-morning hours, the ratings were nowhere near those scored by Hemmer and Perino. CNN scored 744,000 viewers at 9 a.m, while MSNBC’s 4th hour of Morning Joe averaged 925,000. Hemmer and Perino's show consistently scores impressive numbers that not only best those of its direct competition, but have marked America's Newsroom as a top 10 show on cable news. |
