Fox News' Bill Melugin has been delivering impressive reporting from the southern border in recent months, often breaking stories that Republican lawmakers use to bolster immigration bills. 

In fact, Fox News published an exclusive from Melugin on Thursday, in which the reporter revealed that an Iranian illegal immigrant apprehended at the southern border last week was not on a terror watchlist, despite being initially flagged as such.  

Last July, he also reported on leaked audio of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, marking him as a well-sourced and reliable reference on border issues. 

The Los Angeles Times praisedMelugin's reporting chops in a glowing profile published Thursday, in which Melugin admitted he was aware that lawmakers and pundits (even those on his network) tend to spin his footage to fit their respective narratives.

"All we’re doing is putting a mirror up and showing what’s happening," he said of his reporting, which brought him to the border for 170 days last year.

The reporter also acknowledged Fox News' detractors, yet asserted that locals in border towns value and appreciate his coverage and his network's presence in the area. 

“We’ve had locals come up to us, shake our hands and say ‘You know, we don’t watch Fox’ but they shake our hands and say, ‘Thank you guys for being out here to cover this,'” he said.

Melugin did 1,000 live shots from along the Rio Grande Valley just last year, proving his dedication to covering a salient and divisive national issue that many media figures opt to ignore.

Radio show host and Fox News contributor Dan Bongino joined the hosts of Fox & Friends Saturday or a wild segment, during which they accused liberals of being “anti-human” and took a detour into zombie horror fiction.

Pete Hegseth, Rachel Campos-Duffy, and Will Cain invited Bongino on their show for a discussion of border apprehensions -- a discussion Arc Digital editor-in-chief Berny Belvedere describedas “Bongino in full Cocaine Bear mode.”

The discussion veered from insisting the apprehensions indicate that the Biden administration is deliberately letting terrorists into the country to a theory about “anti-human” liberals who view conservatives as a “virus” to a review of the AMC hit The Walking Dead to the “horrors” of the Covid vaccine to … having more babies?

"They embrace chaos, Antifa in the streets, chaos at the border, public safety crises," Bongino said of Democrats. "They do nothing about it. They make it worse because when you get this chaotic environment, people will walk voluntarily into an ideological prison and allow their civil rights to be taken away."

He later claimed that liberals exclusively care about "subjugating this human virus" -- the virus being conservatives.

"That’s why they love forcing chaos and fear on you, for you to walk into their ideological prison and leave your civil liberties at the door," he added.

Campos-Duffy wholeheartedly agreed with Bongino's rather deranged political analysis, concluding, "And the answer is to fight back. And the other answer: Love your family and have babies."
