MKBHD faces second backlash in less than two months

The popular YouTuber posted a video that showed him driving more than double the speed limit in a school zone, and fans aren’t happy

In a new video that was also an ad for DJI gear, YouTuber Marques Brownlee included a short clip where his car reached 96 mph in a 35 mph zone. Even more alarming, he appeared to pass a sign warning drivers that children could be nearby. After posting the video, it wasn't long before some of his 19.6 million subscribers piled on. Brownlee later deleted the clip from the video and apologized on X for his “absolutely inexcusable and dangerous” action.

The YouTuber is having a rough time of it lately, as he was also lambasted in September over the release of a wallpaper app that had a slew of issues at launch ...

Aventon Abound SR combines thoughtful design, enhanced security, and smart connectivity

Electric bikes are nothing new at this point, and while there are many styles, few purportedly do it all, and even fewer actually offer smart or more advanced features. They tend to do one thing particularly well, like cruising, carrying cargo, or sightseeing, but the biggest way they push the envelope is by offering that long-range electric power. The Aventon Abound SR, a new do-it-all bike, goes far and beyond anything that’s come before it ...

We may have a date for the public release of iOS 18.2

It'll bring more exciting AI features to Apple's newer phones

Apple looks set to release iOS 18.2 on Monday, December 9. The date is based on some detective work carried out by MacRumors, though it admits that it cannot be “absolutely certain” about the date. What we do know is that iOS 18.2 is coming sometime in December, as Apple itself has said this much.

The update brings some notable Apple Intelligence features for iPhone 15 Pro handsets and all of the new iPhone 16 models. They include Genmoji, which lets you create an emoji by describing it; Image Playground for making original images using descriptions, concepts, or people from your photo library; and ChatGPT integration for Siri ...

Amazon to shutter its ad-supported streaming TV service Freevee

But there’s still a way for non-Prime members to watch free stuff

Amazon is closing down Freevee, its free, ad-supported video streaming platform. The company said on Tuesday that it has decided to phase out Freevee over the coming weeks “to deliver a simpler viewing experience for customers.”

It appears to be more of a rebranding exercise, as non-Prime members with an Amazon account will still be able to access a selection of free movies and TV shows, which will soon appear on Prime Video under a “watch for free” label. It feels like a small change, though it remains to be seen whether it affects the quality and amount of content that Amazon makes available for free going forward ...

A Sam Bankman-Fried movie is in the works

Apple, A24 will produce film about the controversial crypto figure

Lena Dunham, who made her name with the acclaimed HBO show Girls, will write the script for the film adaption of the Michael Lewis book that tells the wild story of disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, Variety reported.

Apple and A24 are developing the film adaptation of Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon. Lewis’ book, which came out last year and went on to become a New York Times bestseller, is described as “both psychological portrait and financial roller-coaster ride,” suggesting that the movie could be a fascinating — and entertaining — watch ...

Grand Theft Auto: The Definitive Edition trilogy just got a vital update

It only took three years for it to arrive

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition was poorly received when it launched in 2021, so anyone still playing it will be delighted to learn that a much-needed update has just dropped, Rockstar Intel reported.

The "definitive" versions of Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One have received a bunch of fixes and updates, including one that tackles what was a particularly controversial element of the original launch three years ago: lighting ...
