| | | Grants to unlock business growth Could a grant from the City of Cockburn help you supercharge your professional growth and unlock new possibilities for your solo business, microbusiness or small business? The City of Cockburn has $100,000 worth of funding available to businesses operating in the Cockburn area. Grants are available in three categories: Professional training and development, to enhance your skills and knowledge Digital technology and cybersecurity, to improve your online operations and protect your data Innovation and major projects, to drive new initiatives and expand your business. More than 300 businesses have received our business grants to improve their growth — including the team at the Seabreeze Kitesurf School, who received a grant to provide a custom seated kiteboard to allow people with disability to participate in kitesurfing. The City plays an active role in encouraging economic development in our local area, working with business and industry to create enterprise and employment and to ensure the long-term economic sustainability of our communities.
