1. Air travelers arriving to Colombia must provide evidence of a negative PCR test to be allowed entry.

On the brink of the second peak of this pandemic, the Colombian Government implemented once again the requirement of a negative PCR to allow the entry of international travelers into the country.

2. Emergency use of the Pfizer vaccine was authorized by local regulator.

The National Institute of Food and Drug Administration - INVIMA granted sanitary authorization for emergency use to PFIZER INC for a period of one year, for the use of its product PFIZER BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE.

3. Tourism regulation affecting foreign platform operators becomes effective in Colombia.

Law 2068 of 2020 seeks to implement mechanisms to promote tourist destinations in Colombia, in order to strengthen the formalization of the tourism sector and promote the recovery of the tourism industry. However, it included groundbreaking regulation pertaining to the regulation of e commerce platforms that facility tourism activities. It even creates a taxation mechanism for their activities and obliges them to register in the local tourism registry.
