1. Colombia transitions from preventive isolation to selective isolation.

The evaluation of the Covid 19 pandemic in Colombia has determined a new course of action: selective isolation. As of August 26th 2020, there will be no more preventive isolation which restricted the mobilization of citizens to specific exceptions and now Colombians will be authorized general free movement with particular restrictions.

2. Reactivation of the aeronautical sector.

With the gradual reactivation of the economy and the shift to the selective isolation method, Colombia allows 14 internal routes and the approval for international air travel.

3. New areas for the Permanent Bidding Process are offered by the National Hydrocarbons Agency (Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos).

Among others, the new map determines: a) the areas offered by the National Hydrocarbons Agency (“NHA”) for the third cycle of the Permanent Bidding Process (“PPAA”), b) areas already granted for the development of hydrocarbons projects; and c) the available areas, for which the interested companies may apply within the PPAA.
