State may heighten disclosures of homes' flood histories The North Carolina Real Estate Commission has voted to proceed with rulemaking that would expand the state's real estate disclosure form with several questions regarding the flood histories of homes for sale. Currently, North Carolina mandates only the disclosure of whether a home is within a designated flood-hazard zone and whether it must be covered by flood insurance, according to the petition seeking enhanced disclosures.
