👉 SEC Pushes VanEck Bitcoin ETF Decision Date To November

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has pushed back its decision date for the VanEck Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) to mid-November.

On November 14th the SEC will either approve or reject the firm's ETF application, in a decision that has already been delayed three times by the agency.

👉 Mastercard Acquires Blockchain Analytics Firm CipherTrace

Payments giant Mastercard has acquired CipherTrace, a blockchain analytics company that specializes in blockchain data surveillance and compliance tools.

Mastercard will use the acquisition to improve its own cyber security tools, as well as boosting their own compliance with crypto regulations.

👉 Bored Ape NFTs Fetch Over $24 Million In Sotheby's Auction

A collection of 10 Bored Ape Yacht Club non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have fetched a total of $24.39 million in an auction at Sotheby's today.

The price smashed through expectations, reaching about double the $12 million to $18 million estimation. Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is digital avatar art from Yuga Labs, which also produced a side project, Bored Ape Kennel Club.
