Rescued treasure: Roughly 80 bronze busts from renowned New Orleans artist Bill Ludwig are up for sale in the French Quarter. Doug MacCash has the tale of how a quick-thinking scrapyard owner in Chalmette and a local gallery owner saved the sculptures from destruction.
DA recusal: The political fallout from this month's jailbreak continues. Sheriff Susan Hutson requested that District Attorney Jason Williams recuse himself from investigating the escape of 10 inmates due to his support of one of Hutson's opponents in the upcoming election. Williams has agreed to let the state Attorney General's office handle the probe. Ben Myers has the story.
