The draft SCT Law proposes sharp tax hikes on alcohol, beer, and sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs), raising concerns about economic impacts. BritCham Vietnam has submitted a letter to Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Economic and Financial Committee, advocating for a gradual tax increase on alcohol and beer, excluding SSBs from the SCT list, and policies supporting business sustainability. |

On 28th March, Ho Chi Minh City hosted two significant conferences focusing on Vietnam’s financial sector development.
