What it takes to bring Wicked's Elphaba to life eight shows a week

Musical theatre fans have been eagerly awaiting the film version of Wicked.

The main character of Elphaba is a notoriously difficult role to sing, and since the trailer dropped in February, fans have been wondering whether Cynthia Erivo will nail it, especially the iconic song Defying Gravity.

Australian Elphabas share the "monk life" they lead to get through a season of Wicked, and the challenges of her most well-known song.
