Government assistance for sustainable business upgrades now available A range of government grant programs are now open to assist businesses with funding energy efficiency projects.
The Australian Government has announced the opening of its Energy Efficient Communities Program (EECP). Small businesses are eligible for grants up to $20,000 with no co-contribution required for equipment upgrades that reduce energy consumption (excluding solar PV generator systems and batteries), monitoring systems to better manage energy use, energy audits and energy efficiency feasibility studies.
Applications for the small business round closes on 26 August 2020.
High energy businesses are eligible to apply for grants up to $25,000 with matching co-contribution. Applications close on the 24 September 2020. More information is available at business.gov.au. Energy Advice for small businesses
