Bridgepoint’s Achilles Information to add supply-chain biz; One Peak and Partners Group back machine learning insurance company

Morning all, Craig McGlashan here with the Europe Wire from the London newsroom.

Supply chain management has been in vogue over the last few years, thanks to both disruption as well as a focus on ethical and environmental issues. Private equity has seen an opportunity – and this morning we report that Bridgepoint-backed Achilles Information has agreed to buy a company that says it has a focus on “ethical, sustainable and transparent” supply chain management.

Switching to insurance, we look at One Peak leading a series C funding round for a company that claims to be “revolutionizing” the sector. Partners Group is also involved.

Finishing up, we take a look at why private equity is so interested in the video games industry.

Supply in demand

Bridgepoint-backed Achilles Information has agreed to buy GoSupply Advanced Applications, a supply chain management company headquartered in Madrid.

Note: Bridgepoint owns PEI Group, the publisher of PE Hub.

Insuring the future

This morning, growth equity firm One Peak led a series C funding round in Akur8, an insurance pricing and reserving platform that claims to have been “revolutionizing non-life insurance pricing with transparent AI since 2019.” Partners Group also participated in the round, along with historical investor Guidewire Software.

Read the premium version of the Wire for details including the size of the round.
