Bream takes the desk, Podcasters incur wrath, Nuclear Trump news

Shannon Bream, the veteran journalist and legal correspondent, has been named the new host of Fox News Sunday, replacing longtime host Chris Wallace, who left Fox for CNN last December. Bream will will begin her hosting duties on Sept. 11, the network said in a statement.
Bream has been with Fox since 2007 and hosted Fox News @ Night. She signed a multi-year extension with Fox in Jan. 2020.
A “rotation of journalists” will take her position on Fox News @ Night until a replacement is found, the network said. Bream will continue in her role as Fox News chief legal correspondent.
“It has been an honor to cover major news throughout Washington over the last 15 years at FOX News,” Bream said in a statement. “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to host a Sunday show and look forward to this new role.”
On Thursday during a segment with her colleague Sandra Smith, Bream reiterated how much she appreciated the opportunity to helm one of Fox News' marquee shows during "such a momentous time in Washington."

It's a big move to the big chair, and unquestionably an accomplishment as well as a challenge that Bream seems poised to meet.

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has filed a lawsuit against podcasters Kellie Carter Jackson andLeah Wright Riguer over their popular show based on her iconic TV talk show.
On Tuesday, Harpo Inc. filed suit against the two historians and hosts of the Oprahdemics podcast, which is promoted as an “unauthorized study of The Queen of Talk.”
The trademark suit names the two individually, along with their production company, Roulette Productions, alleging they breached trademark law by using Oprah’s name and likeness.
The podcasters are lucky Winfrey is not seeking to have the podcast stopped or receive damages; NBC News reported the lawsuit seeks to have the show change its name so as to not mislead fans that Winfrey is associated with the production.
Producer for Roulette Productions sent a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, calling the show nothing more than a fun, “journalistic exploration.”
Still, Jackson and Riguer will be out-of-pocket for attorney’s fees, and they’re vastly outmatched by Winfrey’s financial assets and influence in the industry. Launching this podcast without her blessing was a risk that now seems to have backfired.
