A Los Angeles jury awarded Vanessa Bryant, the widow of NBA superstar Kobe Bryant, $16 million in damages Wednesday over leaked photographs of the helicopter crash site snapped by first responders, which included graphic images of human remains. Nine other people were killed when the helicopter crashed north of Los Angeles in January 2020, including the Bryants' 13-year-old daughter, Gianna.

A co-plaintiff in the lawsuit, Chris Chester, whose wife and daughter were also killed in the crash, was awarded $15 million in damages.
