Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. plans to invest $100 billion in U.S. manufacturing capacity in Arizona, President Donald Trump announced today.
The company is already in the midst of a $65 billion project to build three semiconductor fabs in Arizona. The investment news could further strengthen President Trump’s plans to build out the U.S.’s manufacturing industry, a core tenet of his domestic policy agenda.
