| The Syrian army said the U.S. strikes on an airfield in the war-torn country in retaliation to a chemical attack that killed more than 80 people three days ago made the United States a "partner" of the Islamic State, Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations, in a statement carried by the official Syrian Arab News Agency. Syria said at least six people were killed in the U.S. strikes early Friday local time.
