Millions tune in to virtual Hogmanay Three million people from more than 50 countries around the world tuned in to watch Edinburgh's Hogmanay film online last night. Police break up gathering with hundreds of people While most people stayed at home on Hogmanay to curb the spread of coronavirus, there were some who were not so careful. Last night police had to break up a gathering which saw hundreds of people take to Calton Hill and Edinburgh Castle to celebrate the New Year arriving. You can read about what happened here.
