BREAKING: President Trump Signs $2T Economic Stimulus Package

President Donald Trump signed a $2 trillion economic stimulus package Friday afternoon, prompted by the devastating financial effects of the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.
Hospitals will receive $117 billion as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
In an effort to expand access to virtual care during the COVID-19 pandemic, more barriers to telehealth are being dismantled with the passage of the CARES Act.
The action won praise from the Association for Community Affiliated Plans, the Medical Group Management Association, and the American Medical Association.

"We believe the bill reflects the scale of challenges we face as a country and recognizes that expanding virtual care is necessary to defeat COVID-19," said Ann Mond Johnson, MBA, MHA, CEO of ATA, the industry telemedicine association based in Washington, D.C.
