More than 1,000 new cases in Scotland

Though the vaccine has arrived, the latest daily number of coronavirus cases is a reminder we're not out of the woods yet.

In her daily briefing, Nicola Sturgeon confirmed 1,001 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

It's the highest daily case total since November 26, however, the First Minister did reiterate the outbreak is "under control".

Who can't have the Pfizer vaccine?

Speaking of the vaccine, many have been asking whether certain groups - like pregnant women - should or shouldn't take it.

While the majority of people will be able to take the Pfizer vaccine safely, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has given some advice on this.

We make clear who should and should not take the vaccine here.
