An Air Force B-52 taking part in the annual Baltic training operation called "Baltops" was intercepted in international airspace by a Russian Su-27 fighter jet, the Pentagon said. The US aircraft was still in the air at the time the Pentagon confirmed the incident and it was not known how close the Russian jet came to it.
