| President Trump signed a memo authorizing the release of a final batch of records related to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy - but he agreed with the requests of certain federal agencies to keep some some parts of the documents secret, according to senior administration officials. Historians, researchers, and conspiracy theorists waited anxiously Thursday as the National Archives is expectedto release records by 11:59 p.m. EST pursuantto the John F. The officials, briefing reporters on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly ahead of Thursday's deadline, said the Archives would release 2,800 documents tonight. Others will be held back for further review. Trump's memoordered agencies to review the proposedredactions and justify them.
