| The House Ethics Committee announced Thursday it has opened an investigation into Rep. George Santos, the New York Republican who’s admitted to lying about his résumé and whose finances are under scrutiny by law enforcement. The committee said its probe will include looking into Santos’ 2022 campaign, his disclosure statements and sexual misconduct allegations against him from a person seeking employment in his congressional office. |
