| The House minority leader said Thursday misconduct allegations against Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., are "serious, disappointing, and very credible." Conyers, 88, has acknowledged his office settled a claim with a staff member who accused him of harassment, but he denied any wrongdoing. He has stepped down from his position as the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, and has checked himself into a hospital for a stress-related ailment. House Speaker Paul Ryan also said Thursday Conyers should resign.
