The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has found that the £6.8bn acquisition of Asda by a consortium including the owners of Euro Garages and private equity firm TDR Capital may lead to higher petrol prices. The buyers now have five working days to offer legally binding proposals to the CMA to address the competition concerns identified.
