You’re invited to trek the Larapinta Trail with Bowel Cancer Australia!
In June 2024, we’re embarking on an epic trekking adventure in the heart of the Australian outback, and we want you to join us!
On this incredible adventure, you’ll trek through the Australian outback on one of the most spectacular walking trails— the legendary Larapinta Trail. To top it off, you’ll also be raising funds for Bowel Cancer Australia, to help build a path toward a cure.
When you sign up, you’ll join a team of other passionate Bowel Cancer Australia supporters who will trek with you and we’ll give you all the guidance you’ll need to start your fundraising journey!

Trip Highlights
Regarded as one of Australia’s premier walking tracks, the Larapinta Trail winds from the old Alice Springs Telegraph Station toward the peak of Mount Sonder. Over six days, challenge yourself to tackle some of the most difficult and beautiful sections of the trail, all for a good cause.

A new Australian study published in The Lancet suggests population-wide genetic screening for Lynch Syndrome, hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, and familial hypercholesterolemia in people aged 18 to 40, would be cost effective and save lives. According to the study, screening for these genetic conditions in Australians aged 18-40 could prevent 4047 deaths and 2612 cancers – including 451 bowel cancers. Read more here.
