Watching The Royals

But somehow — and we truly don't know how this happened so quickly — 2019 is almost over. Before we ring in the new year, we wanted to look back at some of the biggest royal stories from this past year.

A lot has happened: We welcomed a new member of the Royal Family, for one thing. There were engagements and tours and lawsuits. There were birthdays and anniversaries and renovations and candid conversations and feuds and patronages and fashion. Oh, was there ever fashion.

Enjoy our retrospective of the biggest royals stories of 2019, and above all, have a happy new year, royal watchers!

Did you know?

The royals often spend New Year at Sandringham, but while they're (usually) all together at Christmas, they sometimes split up for New Year's Eve. The Queen and Prince Philip will stay at Sandringham, and often invite family members who weren't there for Christmas. William and Kate sometimes go to her parents' holiday home in West Berkshire, England, where the couple spent their first New Year's as husband and wife. Harry and Meghan have previously rung in the New Year in Monaco.
