Hey,
Today, I will:
drop my kid off at school work on my 30-day book project (if you’re not following along in the My 500 Words challenge, what are you waiting for?!) write a new book proposal for a new ghostwriting client work on a teaching for my Portfolio People Mastermind group start writing a speech for a gig in Florida later this month be interviewed for a podcast eat lunch work out call a new coaching client about working together go home make dinner for my kids take a bath go to bedThis is just a normal day for me. I don’t know if it sounds exciting, stupid, or stressful; but I like it. It took me a long time to admit that, though, that I like a busy day, that I like to do a lot of different things.
We are told we should embrace mastery, that we should focus on just one area and do it really well and with excellence and dedication. But honestly, I find that boring.
It took quite the wake-up call for me to realize this, but when I stumbled across the concept of the portfolio life, everything changed.
On the podcast today, I redefine that term, explain why I think the future belongs to portfolio people, and offer a few reasons for why a portfolio life just might be the best way for you to organize a creative career while avoiding boredom and burnout.

Enjoy,
Jeff
