Surgery scheduledThe ink had barely dried on the one-year, $13 million contract Young signed with the Saints, before news broke that he would undergo surgery on his neck. Saints officials were reportedly aware of the impending procedure, but it's still a concern for a player who has battled injuries for much of his four-year career. New additionsThe Saints didn't stop with the Young signing. On Tuesday, they added a pair of veteran free agents to improve their depth on both sides of the ball. One of the signings, per Luke Johnson, is a familiar face. The other, as Matt Paras reports, is a newcomer.
