We stan a girl who knows what she wants – and for Blue Ivy, that's a pair of mom's Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings. The daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, now just 10 years old, was in attendance at the 2022 Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. At the event, organised by her grandmother, Tina Knowles, she bid in a luxury auction, where she vied for the highest ticketed item of the evening with over $80 000 (1.5 million). The young singer, however, eventually lost out to the founder of Mielle Organics, Monique Rodriguez and her husband Melvin, who bid a whopping $105 000 (R1.9 million). The big-spender, who tagged along with her mom and dad – more photos of their looks under the gala theme 'Harlem Nights' above – made sure she took home a little something-something. According the Vanity Fair, in true Blue Ivy style, it was a 36" x 36" art piece made of deconstructed law and medical books for which she paid a casual $10 000 (R183 000).
