The Bitcoin Cash network will have a scheduled upgrade this Sunday, November 15th.

The community is also preparing for a contentious fork, as one of the BCH full node projects has introduced the Infrastructure Funding Proposal (IFP) into the codebase.

Early Sunday morning 1000 BTC, roughly $15.5 million dollars from ten years ago, were moved.

The coins spent on Sunday saw the corresponding BCH spent as well, but Blockchain explorer data showed that the corresponding BSV coinbase rewards were not spent.

However, “Dr. Doom” may have changed his view - during a recent interview with Yahoo Finance, he was quoted saying Bitcoin "may be a partial store of value."

The Ethereum blockchain suffered an unintended hard fork or chain split on Wednesday.

Ethereum Foundation member, Péter Szilágyi, commented: “Technically you are correct that it was an “unannounced hard fork” (from a bad chain to the good one). That said, silently fixing a bug dormant for 2+ years has a much lower chance of causing a disruption than raising awareness to it. We strive to minimize potential damage.”
