A Message From the Editor

Good morning. It's been a year that has seen a particularly busy first half for team moves between large law firms, and Molly G Smith reports on some of the largest team hires that have taken place in Big Law this year. Meanwhile, Linda A Thompson writes about Denmark's proposed deepfake law, which breaks the mold and relies on copyright rather than privacy laws as it tries to crack down on deepfakes and protect personal likenesses. And in Big Law's ongoing competition for top talent, some firms, such as Latham & Watkins and Paul Weiss, are creating new tiers or more shares or points at the top of the scale, hoping this will remove any temptation among the most productive rainmakers to jump to another firm.
