Civil Rights Challenge: Louisiana’s Congressional redistricting saga is headed to the courts. Civil rights groups are challenging Louisiana’s new districts in federal court, saying that having just a single Black-majority district out of six is wrong. The suit was filed just minutes after the state Legislature slapped down Gov. John Bel Edwards’ veto of those new districts.
