President-elect Joe Biden said Tuesday the transition process has begun in earnest after weeks of stalling by President Donald Trump’s administration.

“Immediately, we’ve gotten outreach from the national security shop to just across the board,” Biden said in an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt, adding that the long delay has not put his team as far behind as originally thought. He also said his administration will not be “a third Obama term” because the world has changed so much during the Trump years.
