Betty White died at the age of 99 on 31 December 2021, just weeks shy of her 100th birthday. The legendary actor, loved by many throughout her long career, would've hit the milestone on 17 January, but "died peacefully in her sleep" of natural causes. The star didn't leave behind any children of her own, but was stepmom to her third husband Allen Ludden's three children: David, Martha and Sarah. Allen, an Emmy-winning TV show host, died in 1981 after a long battle with cancer. In 2011, according to People, White called Allen "the love of [her] life" when she spoke to Anderson Cooper about her decision not to remarry. "If you've had the best, who needs the rest?" she said. White never did marry again, and upon her death, she knew she'd be reunited with her TV personality husband again. Click 'Read More' for the full article |
