For those of us who've had the privilege to visit in better times, the current reality is starkly different. Israel is enduring, visibly strained by the conflict. To offer some perspective, the government recently announced plans to raise taxes and secure a $60 billion loan to cover the extensive costs of the Gaza war, signaling the depth of the economic crisis we're facing. Inevitably it affects everyone. In addition, Israel is poised to double its defense spending, having mobilized over 300,000 reservists and evacuated tens of thousands from danger zones. The war's ripple effects are palpable - from gas prices soaring to the Bank of Israel raising interest rates. So many of you have asked how you can contribute during this crisis.
